Since Chris had friends in many places these events will be spread across several locations from here in New Brunswick as well as Ottawa, Ontario. If you would like more information on participating in an event or would like to volunteer your time to assist in running or planning an event please use the form on the contact page.

Upcoming Events-

Our Annual fund raising walk/run for 2018 will be held in Saint John, N. B. on SUNDAY, JUNE 24 AT 1 PM . The location is at Little River Reservoir on Lock Lomond Road beginning at 1:00 p.m.  The trail around the reservoir is 3k.  To participate the cost is $10. for youth; $20. for adult or $35. for family.  Or you can collect pledges using the pledge sheet here.  Come out to support our charity and make a difference in the lives of youth who otherwise would not be able to participate in organized recreational sports!

 

Past  Events

The annual fund raising walk/run was held at Little River Reservoir in Saint John on July 16, 2017, raising over $2200 for the Fund! Thanks to all those who participated and made donations!

The annual “Miller Fun 5k” will be held once again this year on June 13, 2015 starting at the Plaster Rock Tourist Park Pavilion; registration is at 10:30 and the event begins at 11:00-

June 20 Ottawa, Ontario-The Chris Miller Memorial Golf Tournament will be held again at the same location as last years’ event, which is the , The Meadows Golf & Country Club, 4335 Hawthorne Road ( hosted by Chris’  co-workers at Scotiabank )

March 14, 2015– The Chris Miller Memorial Fund is partnering with The Plaster Rock Little Rock Curlers and The Plaster Rock Junior Curlers to host the 1st Annual Chris Miller Curling Bonspiel on Saturday, March 14, 2015. The event will be held at the Plaster Rock Curling Club. Registration is from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. If you wish to register early, you can do so by contacting Jeff at 356-7400. The cost is $20.00 per player which includes lunch. Mixed teams are welcomed.

4th ANNUAL CHRIS MILLER MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Date: Sunday June 22nd, 2014
Venue: The Meadows Golf and Country Club – 4335 Hawthorne Road, Gloucester On.

Time: Tee off times will vary, beginning at 1030am.

Cost: $45.00 includes cart.

Friends and family welcome.
In memory of Chris Miller, who was always excited and more than willing to dress up for any occasion, we will once again this year have “Team Themes”. We are encouraging teams to be creative with their wardrobes. Some theme examples are: Retro/old school attire / 60’s,70’s or 80’s rock bands, TV series or movies, and for those with less of an imagination, a team color would be great. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed / most spirited team.

Prizes will also be awarded for top team, closest to pin, longest drive and more.

A plaque will be presented to the most spirited golfer.
We will also be running a 50/50 draw with proceeds going to the CHRIS MILLER MEMORIAL FUND, tickets are on sale immediately. Please note that you do not need to participate or attend the golf tournament in order to play 50/50 and contribute to a great cause.

Ticket prices are as follows: 1 for $2.00 3 for $5.00 or 7 for $10.00.
Everyone, including non-golfers are invited to join us for food and beverages after the round in the clubhouse at approx 12:30pm. We have several great prizes to be raffled off after the round is complete. Everyone that attends, including non-golfers will have their names included for an opportunity to win!
Deadline to register for the tournament is Friday June13th. Tournament fees and/or 50/50 tickets can be purchased in Ottawa from Erika Childs or Annaliese Smyth and in Toronto from Hadi Damani.
